Playing Phasmophobia with friends across platforms
Phasmophobia is a co-op horror game in which a team of up to four investigators looks for evidence of ghosts with equipment, voice recognition and a lot of nerves. It is a game made for friends in a call, so everyone being able to join matters.
Reports say the console versions launched in October 2024 with crossplay from day one, so PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players share lobbies. VR and non-VR players can hunt together too. Progress does not transfer between platforms, and there is no PS4 or Xbox One version.
Before a hunt, make sure everyone has the latest update and has added the others as friends. Because the game uses proximity voice, check your microphone settings on each platform to avoid silent investigators.
